A Pastor on Molokaʻi Needed a War Chest. Here Is What I Found.
I am 67 years old. I have been a pastor on Molokaʻi for eight years, serving a community of about 7,000 people — many of them struggling to make ends meet. I have 54 volumes of Kingdom theology to publish, a wellness mission to fund, and a ranch that does not pay ministry bills.
I knew the vision was from God. I did not know how to fund it.
"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field — which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field." — Matthew 13:44
That is when I found Myron Golden. He is a businessman, a Bible teacher, and one of the clearest thinkers I have encountered on the connection between Kingdom principles and economic reality. He does not separate Sunday from Monday. He teaches that creating value, making offers, and building wealth is a form of stewardship — not a compromise of faith.
I went through his materials. I applied what I could. And I began to see a path — not to personal riches, but to a war chest for the work God has called me to do.
These are the six resources I recommend. I have listed them in the order I would start if I were beginning again — from the entry point to the full system.
